Contrary to popular belief, prostate cancer is not just an “old man’s” issue.  It’s an “every man” issue.  Nearly everyone knows someone whose life has been changed by a diagnosis of prostate cancer: themselves, family member, friend, etc.  Fortunately, the solution is right at our fingertips.

Progress for Prostate, A Colorado Solution™, is a non-profit organization that was formed for three primary reasons:

  1. Colorado does not receive sufficient financial support either from the Federal government or through the National Prostate Cancer Foundation to fund the necessary research, affordable treatment and educational programs for the people of Colorado.
  2. Some of the world’s leading doctors in prostate cancer research and their clinical support staff are here in Colorado.
  3. Our locally controlled non-profit organization and community outreach campaign will ensure funds raised for prostate cancer research and treatment stay in Colorado.

Now, important facts that will help you be part of the solution:

bullet FACT: NEARLY A QUARTER OF A MILLION American men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2007.  That’s 1 in 6 men; 1 in 3 if you’re African American or have a family history of prostate cancer.
bullet FACT: Some of the WORLD’S leading DOCTORS in Prostate Cancer Research are right HERE in Colorado.
bullet FACT: The federal government’s funding for Colorado’s prostate cancer research and education is dwindling.
bullet FACT: The national cancer research foundations that Coloradans so generously support give back only a small percentage to the programs and people of Colorado.
bullet FACT: Progress for Prostate is a Colorado non-profit that is raising the necessary funding for the diagnosis,  research and treatment of prostate cancer right here in Colorado.
bullet FACT: Every dollar Progress for Prostate raises for prostate cancer research and education stays in Colorado.
